Jackie and Mike are seriously incredible human beings. Their love for each other is out of this world, and that makes my job so ridiculously easy. When I first met them last year, they told me their reception venue was a golf course, but they didn’t want their photos to look like it was a golf course. Right then and there I knew we would get along quite nicely. Jackie and Mike climbed thru grass, went up and down what is probably the steepest hill you can find in Michigan, and did it all with ease and joy. The whole day was laid back, and just totally about them. Their bridal party was to die for, too. Like, look at these girls in their navy dresses. Ooooh, ladieeees. I loved it. The groom’s mama made the cake, and the maid of honor and best man were both of the bride’s siblings. And by the way, Stephanie and Tommy, you guys had the some of the best speeches I’ve heard to date!! Jackie is a graphic designer and made the centerpieces, hand wrote all of the signage and, together with Mike, made the welcome sign. It was truly a family affair.
Old St. Mary’s in Greektown (Detroit) served as their stunning ceremony venue, with Plum Hollow Country Club as the reception venue.
Jackie and Mike: thank you so much for having me along to photograph your day! It was a blast (a sweaty one, but still a blast) and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
